What are RCCBs?

A Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB), which is used in conjunction with an MCB, is a reusable electrical safety device that automatically measures and disconnects the electrical circuit if a fault occurs in the connected circuit, or the current exceeds the rated sensitivity. These devices help protects users against the dangers of electric shock. 

How do RCCBs work?

An RCCB disconnects an electrical circuit whenever it detects that the current is not balanced between the live and neutral conductors. RCCBs are a common circuit breaker and are suitable for a vast range of applications including within industrial and domestic properties where you will find them monitoring and protecting lighting and power circuits.
